1. Question: For the utility locate, does the base or any of the base shops perform their own locate or need to sign off on the locate prior to beginning the work?
Answer: We do not mark our own utilities, it will need to be conducted and marked by them to avoid cutting any lines
2. Question: Do we have to submit for base access or is it as simple as stated in 3.5.1 "Each day, all employees shall possess a REAL ID and check in with the Officer of the Day, and sign the visitor log."
According to section 4.1, "However, the Government at a later date may require all Contractor personnel to have Secret clearances. Accordingly, all Contractor employees provided for this requirement must be eligible for a Secret Clearance." While we can provide individuals who can gain base access, we cannot be sure all of them would be capable of acquiring a secret clearance without doing so beforehand for many reasons. How would you suggest we approach this requirement without vetting people before work begins?
Answer: They will need to check in each day, and the Government does not foresee any reason that they would need a clearance. All work is outside in non-restricted spaces.
3. Question: Do you have any other details or drawings on the fence type other than 8' security fence?
Answer: The Government requires a black standard 8’ Chain Link Fence.
4. Question: Can the Government confirm the total lengths in the drawing provided in the Statement of Work? I see the highlighted orange section with the listed length of 420'. I know it states only the green and pink lines but wanted to confirm.
Answer: The total lengths are already provided in the Statement of Work for the green and pink lines.
5. Question: Could you please confirm the gauge of the wire required and whether barbed wire is specified for this project?
Answer: The Government requires a black standard 8’ Chain Link Fence. Barbed wire is not required.
