The Corinth School District presently has multi-mode and single-mode fiber between network equipment within buildings and between buildings on the same campus. This project does not include connections between campuses or buildings not on the same contiguous property.

All services specified in this proposal must be available for District use on or before July 1, 2025, or damages will be assessed at the rate of $1000.00 a day.

Preference may be given to previous successful cabling and network providers in the District.

The District reserves the right to consider past vendor performance in providing services to the Corinth Schools in selecting the lowest or best bid.

A mandatory walk-through will be held on March 5, 2025 at 10:00 AM, with John Frame, Corinth School District Technology Director. All prospective vendors should meet at the Corinth School District Central Office 1204 North Harper Road Corinth, MS. Vendor(s), by submission of a proposal, will have visited the premises and will be assumed to have taken into consideration all conditions which might affect their proposal. No consideration will be given to any claims based on a lack of knowledge of existing conditions. Any bids received from a vendor that does not participate in the mandatory site visit will not be considered.

All correspondence and inquiries regarding this Request for Proposal must be done via Email:

bid@corinth.k12.ms.us

If a vendor does not receive a written response within 24 hours, it is the responsibility of the vendor to call the central office at 662-287-2425 to confirm the email was received. Please leave a message for John Frame if necessary.

The purchase of this service is dependent on the Corinth School District receiving approval through the Federal E-rate program.

Two copies of the proposal and two copies of any other required documentation and forms must be received in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the words “Corinth Network Cabling Proposals”. Proposals must be mailed, hand delivered, or submitted electronically. Electronic bids should be sent to bid@corinth.k12.ms.us. Scope of Work The Respondent’s RFP response must include the necessary labor and other associated services to develop the following scope and deliverables. Any vendor wishing to submit a bid must have completed the mandatory walk-through scheduled for March 5, 2025 at 10:00 AM. The scope of work should address how the vendor can assist the Corinth School District in securing the most cost efficient and reliable design to successfully provide network cabling to support connections of network devices throughout the district.

Network cabling is required to connect the buildings on the contiguous property and campus of Corinth High School. All pricing must be submitted on the attached pricing sheet.

This request for proposal is NOT seeking quotes for leased or managed network cabling. The District seeks to own the installed connections.

The proposer shall have certifications for all proposed cabling and connections. The proposer shall conduct a site survey and provide a network design based upon customer requirements and facility layouts determined during the walk through. This is to include installation, certification, and labeling of all cabling provided within the network design. For the scope of this project the vendor is responsible for determining the type, e.g.: indoor, outdoor, plenum, riser, armored, aerial, etc., of cable best suited for each site, location, and / or connections therein. Exterior cabling must respect existing appearance and architectural detail.

The fiber to be replaced is a connection from the Central Office Data Room to Corinth High School, B Wing, Room B3. This connection is entirely within the property lines of the campus.

Existing fiber is typical (6) strand single mode OS2 fiber. New fiber installed must be single mode fiber and have a minimum of twelve (12) strands. New terminations should use LC type connectors and be mounted in an appropriate wall mounted enclosure at both ends. A map of the proposed route will be provided at the required walk-through.

Corinth School District wishes to maintain all existing fiber cabling if possible. In some cases, new cabling racks, junction boxes, cable management systems, and / or patch panels may be required.

Service Provider Qualifications The proposer must provide proof of registration with the Universal Service Administration Co.

for the possibility of reimbursement under E-Rate guidelines for these services. If the Service Provider fails to file the appropriate forms for E-Rate then the Corinth School District will not be responsible for the discounted portion of the bill. Vendor shall possess a valid Mississippi Public Contractor’s License. It is preferred that the Service Provider has been in business for at least 5 years. A legible copy of incorporation partners must be attached and noted.
