About this file
This document is a specification sheet for an informal Request for Quotes (RFQt) issued by the City of Fort Worth Purchasing Division for the Code Compliance Department's animal shelter operations. The City seeks one-time purchase and delivery of cat condos and large/group housing kennels for the Chuck and Brenda Silcox Animal Care and Adoption Center located at 4900 Martin Street, Fort Worth, Texas. Cat condos must meet minimum dimensions of 44 inches wide by 21 inches deep by 30 inches high with divided compartments at least 11 inches high, while large/group housing kennels must measure at least 36 inches wide by 48 inches deep by 48 inches high. All equipment must be new, unused, and constructed of veterinary-grade, non-porous materials such as waterproof extruded PVC, tempered glass, or polycarbonate, with a strong City preference against wire grid components. Cat condos must feature multi-compartment layouts with transfer portals and mobility features for cleaning, while group kennels require durable enclosures with secure access doors and optional features such as shelves and integrated bowl systems. All units must be delivered within ninety calendar days from receipt of the purchase order in ready-to-assemble condition, with assembly completed by City staff.
The City will award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder whose bid price is reasonable and in the City's best interest, with the City reserving the right to make multiple awards or reject bids in whole or in part. Vendors must provide completed RFQt-01 forms and a completed bid table with warranty information detailing coverage for caster wheels, structural components, and defects occurring during shipment or installation. Payment terms are Net 30 Days, and successful bidders must register for direct deposit payments through the City's website prior to providing goods or services. The City references manufacturers such as Midmark, Shor-Line, Clark Cages, and TriStar Vet as examples of acceptable veterinary-grade suppliers but does not require use of any specific manufacturer. The agreement remains in effect until all goods have been delivered, inspected, accepted, and final payment made.
