About this file

This is a Statement of Work for NNMC Uniform Services covering fiscal years 2025-2029. The contract requires a contractor to provide uniform rental and laundering services for Navajo Nation Medical Center (NNMC) housekeeping staff, with the primary objective of preventing cross-contamination and healthcare-acquired infections by collecting and processing uniforms worn within the facility. The service term is 60 months, effective March 1, 2025 through February 28, 2029.

The contractor must perform weekly pickups of soiled garments and dropoffs of laundered garments, with pressed shirts and pants delivered on hangers. Specific responsibilities include sizing individuals, providing new garments, supplying soil bins and hanging racks, conducting pre-laundry inspections for damages and stains, and repairing holes or tears up to quarter-size. Garments noticeably stained after washing shall be removed from delivery and reported to the Project Manager. The contractor must provide automatic replacement of garments at a higher grade after 18-24 months of rental life, offer optional garment protection at $0.10 per garment per week, and supply emblems at additional cost. The contractor must report on-site with company logo identification and coordinate changes with the Contracting Officer's Representative. Acceptance documents must be signed by the Housekeeping Officer, Housekeeping Supervisor, and Program Assistant; the contractor cannot sign off on services rendered. The Project Manager is Maureen Lewis (505-368-6225/6221, Maureen.lewis@ihs.gov). A key assumption is that a local uniform facility exists within 50 miles, and the contractor must identify and mitigate potential risks such as truck and bin accidents during loading and unloading operations.
