About this file
This file is a Labor Category (LCAT) descriptions spreadsheet for the Biomedical Research Application Evaluation and Support Services (BRAES) contract opportunity. The document details 25 distinct labor categories ranging from administrative and support roles to technical positions like Software Developers, Scientific Review Officers, and Project Directors. Key labor categories include Project Director, Scientific Review Manager, Help Desk Manager, System Administrator, and Information Management/IT Lead, with comprehensive descriptions outlining specific responsibilities, required skills, and performance expectations for each role.
The spreadsheet also includes rate templates for both Cost-Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) and Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract structures, providing a framework for pricing labor categories across five contract years. The labor categories are designed to support complex research program management, scientific peer review processes, technical support, and operational coordination, with roles spanning administrative, technical, financial, and scientific domains. The document appears to be a preparatory artifact for a forthcoming federal solicitation, specifically supporting biomedical research application evaluation and support services.
