Jobe Trail Bridge Over Caples Lake Spillway Channel On Lake Margaret Trail

Girder

2x12 (rough)

Run Plank

Notes: 1. The Jobe TB crosses the Caples Lake Spillway Channel where the channel slope is 0.9%. The Q100 flow into Caples Lake is 2,480 cfs. The emergency spillway max. design flow is 1,800 cfs, and discharges into Caples Creek downstream of the outlet gates discharge of 480 cfs through the main dam. The EID 2020 Spillway Stabilization Project was designed for 60 cfs, which is an annual flow per the project report. The Jobe TB can pass 60 cfs with 1' freeboard, but is not designed to pass the Q100 flow due to economics, and may be sacrificial in high emergency spillway flows. 2. Center timber sills on two layers of rock filled 1'-8" x 3'-0" x 12'-0" gabion welded wire baskets per FP-14, Section 253. Embed 1' into compacted existing grade. Place Type IV-C geotextile between gabions and soil.
