About this file
This Scope of Work document is issued by the State of Utah Division of Purchasing and the Utah Department of Corrections for the procurement and delivery of decorative multi-colored rock to Central Utah Correctional Facility in Gunnison, Utah. The project aims to convert existing high-water-use landscaping to a xeriscape design to support statewide water conservation efforts while reducing long-term maintenance costs. The deliverable consists of 1-3 inch diameter decorative multi-colored rock in pink and gray colors, with delivery required to the facility at 255 E 300 N Gunnison, UT 84634 by June 30, 2026. Materials will be unloaded in a designated area, and all personnel must present valid government-issued identification at the officer-controlled access point. The agency seeks the maximum tonnage available under the fixed budget constraint.
The contract operates under a fixed budget of $400,000.00, and the award will be made to the responsive and responsible bidder proposing the lowest all-inclusive cost per ton, thereby maximizing total tonnage for the available funds. The eventual Purchase Order will require an even split between the two rock types (pink and gray). Vendors must guarantee pricing until project completion. The contract is anticipated to result in a single award in the form of a Purchase Order to the lowest cost responsive and responsible vendor.
