About this file
This Scope of Work attachment details aerial seeding services requested by the State of Utah Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife Resources for the Cherry Creek Road Fire project located on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and adjacent private lands on the east bench of the Sabie Mountain Range in Juab County, Utah, at elevations between 6,000 and 6,200 feet. The contractor will provide aerial seeding services for approximately 506 acres using a grass and forb seed mix applied at a rate of 14.17 pounds per acre. The aircraft must be equipped with GPS technology to establish flight lines ensuring 100% coverage. Seeding operations are scheduled between December 17, 2025, and January 10, 2026, with work to commence by 8:00 a.m. to minimize wind-related seed drift. Operations may be postponed if wind speeds exceed 10 miles per hour. The nearest operational airport is Delta Municipal Airport (KDTA), approximately 40 air miles southwest of the project site.
The State of Utah will furnish pre-mixed seed in bulk totes at agreed-upon locations on each project site, with the contractor responsible for providing equipment and personnel to unload and load materials. The total weight of seed to be applied is approximately 7,170 pounds. The aircraft must be capable of seeding at the specified rate. This procurement is anticipated to result in a single contract award to the lowest cost responsive and responsible vendor, with pricing guaranteed through project completion. No mandatory site visit is required, and the contract term runs from December 17, 2025, through January 10, 2026, with the government coordinating specific start dates for each project area.
