About this file
The document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) issued by the State of Utah Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife Resources, for an Aerial Seeding Application project located in Tooele County, Utah. The project involves aerial seeding of 59 acres on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and Utah Trust Lands Administration (TLA) lands, with seeding to occur between October 1 and October 18, 2025. The seed mix, consisting of grasses and forbs, will be applied at a rate of approximately 7.0 lbs/acre, totaling around 413 lbs of seed. The contractor must use an aircraft equipped with GPS technology to ensure 100% coverage and begin seeding by 8:00 a.m. to avoid windy conditions and minimize seed drift.
The Division of Wildlife Resources will provide the pre-mixed seed in 40-60 lb bags at an agreed-upon location at each project site. The contractor will be responsible for unloading and loading the seed. The nearest airport is Tooele Valley, approximately 22 air miles away, with suitable dirt roads for landing within 5 miles of the project locations. The project area is situated at elevations ranging from 6,500 to 6,700 feet. The government reserves the right to postpone seeding if wind speeds exceed 10 miles per hour. Questions regarding the RFQ should be submitted through the Bonfire platform.
