thedetails: The current relocation of Teleserve, which enables IDES claimants to certify biweekly for their unemployment insurance benefits, is experiencing delays. The process involves moving servers from the Chicago Central Office to Springfield as well as updating software to allow for continued maintenance. These updates and relocation will take longer than the current expiration date of December 31, 2024. The Department of Information Technology's Legal Counsel was delayed in approving several Statements of Work from the vendors involved in the relocation. As a result, the vendors had to wait months before starting their work, pushing the estimated completion date to mid-March of 2025. IDES is looking to extend the contract through April 30, 2025, to allow the vendor sufficient time to complete the relocation project. Teleserve is crucial for IDES claimants to certify and receive their unemployment benefits. The agency requires server support and maintenance to ensure that claimants can successfully certify for their benefits.
