About this file
This is a fixture count analysis document for Twin Lakes State Park prepared under EGLE (Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy) campground rules. The analysis compares existing and proposed conditions for a toilet and shower building facility at the state park. The existing 1975 structure contains three men's toilets, two urinals, four men's sinks, four women's toilets, four women's sinks, three showers, one maintenance faucet, and one maintenance toilet. The proposed toilet and shower building, based on a Brimley facility prototype, would include three men's toilets, two urinals, four men's sinks, four women's toilets, four women's sinks, one unisex toilet, one unisex sink, and four showers. The proposed design eliminates the maintenance toilet while retaining one maintenance faucet. The fixture counts meet or exceed EGLE campground rules requirements, which mandate three men's toilets, two urinals, four men's sinks, four women's toilets, four women's sinks, four showers, and one maintenance faucet.
The analysis also documents existing conditions at additional Twin Lakes State Park facilities, including two jug fillers at the campground, two potable water towers and one rinse tower at the sanitation station, and a contact station equipped with one toilet and one sink. The proposed prototype design may require additional fixtures such as mop sinks with faucets, hose bibs, water coolers, floor drains, and dishwashing sinks based on operational requirements and the Brimley prototype specifications. This documentation supports the planning and design phase of a potential fixture upgrade or new construction project at Twin Lakes State Park.
