About this file
This is an Amendment #1 to an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the Palm Beach County Procurement Department for Lime Sludge Services on a term contract basis. The amendment, dated June 4, 2016, modifies the site inspection requirements outlined in Section 18 of the original solicitation. The bid submission deadline is July 17, 2026. A mandatory site inspection is required for all interested parties and bidders, with two locations to be visited in sequence on June 16, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Water Utilities Department, Water Treatment Plant #8 located at 1500 North Jog Road, West Palm Beach, Florida 33417, followed by Water Utilities Department, Water Treatment Plant #2 at 2956 Pinehurst Drive, West Palm Beach, Florida 33467. Failure to visually inspect both sites will result in automatic disqualification of the bid.
Bidders are advised to conduct thorough inspections of the work scope, as no additional charges or compensation will be permitted after bid award except in cases of unforeseeable circumstances beyond the successful bidder's control and without fault or negligence, including Acts of God. Any such changes must be approved in writing by the Director of Procurement. Statements and information provided during the site inspection meeting are non-binding unless formally issued as a written amendment to the bid document. This amendment was authored by Kristen A. Monnett, Procurement Manager.
