O. CCBC SMOKING AND TOBACCO FREE POLICY

The core of each campus of the Community College of Baltimore County is designated as a smoke and tobacco- free environment. Therefore, smoking and the use of tobacco products are prohibited in or on any CCBC campus, except for areas specifically designated as “smoking areas” on campus perimeters or in private automobiles in designated parking lots. This Smoke and Tobacco-Free Policy applies to all facilities and to all events taking place on college property. It applies equally to members of the college community and visitors to the campuses, including but not limited to students, faculty, staff, parents, visitors, contractors, and vendors.

P. AMERICAN DISABILITIES ACT

The Office of Purchasing routinely opens all sealed bids in a public setting identified within the language of each specification. The Office of Purchasing is accessible to the disabled.

Q. EMPLOYMENT OF SEX OFFENDERS

The State of Maryland requires certain sex offenders to register with the State and with the local law enforcement agency in the county in which they will reside, work, or attend school. CCBC is also subject to a few Federal laws requiring disclosure of registered sex offenders enrolled or employed at institutions of higher education. Additionally, the College provides several programs throughout the main campus that involve minor children, including the Children’s Learning Center, Children’s Playhouse of Maryland theatre and camps. As a result, if a sex offender, as determined by the definitions contained in the Criminal Law Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland, is employed by the awarded bidder, the awarded bidder is prohibited from assigning that employee to perform any type of service at any of the college campus locations. Violation of this provision may result in Termination for Cause of the contract.

R. PARKING
