About this file
This document is a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) file for a road resurfacing project in Macon-Bibb County, Georgia. The project involves road milling, patching, and asphalt paving across multiple roads, with specific details about work parameters, material specifications, and contractor requirements. The work will primarily be conducted during 8-5 weekday hours, with potential for approved night work, and involves full-width milling from curb to curb or road edge to road edge.
The project specifies using 9.5mm Type 1 asphalt at 1.25" depth for most roads, with Fulton Mill Road receiving 19mm asphalt at 1.5" depth. Contractors are required to mill and pave side road intersections, but not driveways, and must remove all clipped shoulder grass material from the site. Patching will be performed as needed, with a maximum depth of four inches, and no compaction tests are required to be submitted to the county. A shuttle buggy is allowed but not mandatory during paving, and advanced warning signs can be placed on tripods or post-mounted.
