About this file
This document is a Sales Solicitation/Agreement (QRP 26-0001) issued by the Fort Knox Qualified Recycle Program (QRP) for the sale of loose scrap metal. The solicitation invites bidders to purchase an indefinite quantity of post-consumer scrap ferrous metals over a one-year period, with pricing to be determined by monthly market rates from the Iron Age "Scrap Price Bulletin". Key requirements include providing a minimum 60 cubic yard open-top roll-off container, picking up materials within 24 hours of notification, and paying a $15,000 initial down payment.
Bidders must submit their proposal by 11/12/25 at 2:00 PM EST, with pricing to be based on the Chicago steel scrap shredded auto scrap market price. The contract includes specific terms such as weight certification on government scales, transportation responsibilities, and payment conditions. The Fort Knox QRP reserves the right to reject bids, cease shipments during market declines, and terminate the agreement with a 10-day written notice. Award will be based on the best price offered, and interested parties should contact Anita Overton (520-945-1393) or Jamie Daley (520-707-1427) for additional information.
