About this file
This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) N0016425Q0528 issued by Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane for a Brock MMH Mast Mounted Hoist (P/N: M452B-S4) with semi-automatic deadman ratchet capability. The solicitation is being issued as a sole-source procurement to Thern Inc. of Winona, MN, justified because this particular hoist is currently used on fielded Davits with an existing supply of spare parts.
The RFQ was issued on January 23, 2025 with responses due by January 30, 2025 at 2:00 PM Eastern Time. The procurement includes requirements for special testing and certification including a 6,000 lb load test with disengaged deadman ratchet for 10 minutes. The quantity required is 3 units. While this is planned as a sole-source award to Thern Inc., other offerors may submit capability statements which will be considered by the government. Contractors must be registered in both the System for Award Management (SAM) and Joint Certification Program (JCP) to receive controlled attachments. Quotes should be submitted via email to morgan.m.helton.civ@us.navy.mil.
