About this file

This document is Amendment Number One to Invitation to Bid (ITB) 2525N097 issued by the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, Statewide Contracting & Procurement for Fairbanks Regional Office Building Security. The amendment, dated April 8, 2025, provides clarification on work scheduling, specifically addressing a bidder's question about permitting 12-hour shift workdays on a week-on, week-off rotational schedule. The procurement office confirmed that such a schedule would be acceptable, provided continuous coverage is maintained and all guards meet the original ITB requirements. The bid due date remains April 15, 2025, at 2:00 PM Alaska Time, with the amendment noting this is not a mandatory return amendment.

The amendment demonstrates the state's flexibility in workforce scheduling while maintaining core security service requirements. By allowing alternative shift configurations, the procurement suggests an openness to potential bidders' operational preferences, provided the fundamental contract objectives of continuous building security are met. The amendment is signed by Adam Tolles, Procurement Specialist, and represents a minor but potentially significant clarification that could impact potential bidders' proposals for the Fairbanks Regional Office Building security contract.
