About this file
This is an Addendum 2 document issued by the State of Michigan for contract opportunity 472/25139 ABG regarding Kinross C.F. - PA Upgrades. The document serves to clarify, amend, or supplement information contained in the initial bid documents and becomes part of the binding contract agreement between the state and the selected contractor. Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum as a condition of bid submission, and all terms outlined within supersede conflicting provisions in earlier documents.
The specific amendments contained in this addendum address modifications to project requirements, technical specifications, or administrative procedures established in the original solicitation. Please Note: File number has changed from 472/25139.ABG to 472/25139.MDL. Please submit all bidding documents with the new file number.
Pre-bid RFI Questions:
1. Drawing M301 shows new exhaust fans within multiple telecom closets. The electrical drawings do not show these exhaust fans nor feeding them with any power or control. Are we to supply power and controls for these new exhaust fans?
Answer: The exhaust fans are added equipment in the IT closets and require power. Provide 120V circuit from the nearest electrical panel, based on the exhaust fans schedule on sheet M 301. See drawing keynotes and specifications for control details.
2. Spec section 27 5116 1.7.A Extra Materials asks for the bidder to include 10% for the owner to keep as attic stock. What specific material is required?
Answer: Attic stock materials shall include major components and equipment, including but not limited to speakers, amplifiers, control hardware, etc.
3. 120 calendar days is a tight window to complete this work in, do you know how many escorts the facility provide to support this project?
Answer: One (1) escort will be provided.
4. T402 through T405 show extension rack rework is required, but I cannot find a parts list. Are any new parts required in B1, D1, E1 and H1 comm room?
Answer: Part numbers are included in the State Standards attached to the specifications.
5. T402 through T405 show existing fiber relocated into the rack. Does this fiber need to be extended or is it long enough to reach the new location? What is the fiber cable type and what style fiber termination is required? Is there a required parts list for this?
http://www.michigan.gov/SIGMAVSS
Answer: Part numbers are included in the State Standards attached to the specifications.
6. The paging one line on T421 and T422 seems to be missing Valcom VE8004 paging gateways. These are necessary to connect to the QSC SPA amplifiers. Each gateway can support up to 4 zones of audio so depending on the zone needs of a building usually 1 gateway is enough. Please indicate how many paging zones are needed in each building.
Answer: For the purpose of bidding, assume all buildings will have four paging zones.
End of Addendum 2
