About this file
This document is Attachment D (Additional Terms and Conditions) for an Invitation to Bid (ITB No. 25-64121509-ITB) issued by the Florida Department of Management Services for a Miscellaneous Property Insurance State Term Contract. The contract will replace the current policy effective August 8, 2025, and covers comprehensive property insurance for various state agencies and universities. The solicitation allows for a potential five-consecutive policy period contract from August 8, 2025, to August 8, 2030, with the Department intending to make a single award while reserving the right to make no award if deemed in the state's best interest.
The document modifies standard contract terms and conditions, specifically defining "Customer" as agencies or eligible users included on the insurance policy, and establishing contract renewal procedures. The contract will cover approximately $26.5 million in insured property values, including equipment such as band instruments, mobile gas testing equipment, nuclear radiation detection systems, and radio and television equipment. Eligible users are limited to non-Agency state entities with a Department of Financial Services State Risk Management Trust Fund Certificate. The solicitation includes specific requirements for bidders, such as having valid insurance licenses, demonstrating 10 years of experience in insurance placement, and maintaining an AM Best Key Financial Rating of at least A or a Financial Performance Rating of V.
