About this file

This document is Addendum No. 1 issued by Lake County Schools Procurement Services for Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 25-0616-B-TF969 regarding Playground Equipment & Installation. The addendum addresses two specific questions from potential bidders about the solicitation. Lake County Schools is seeking to standardize playground equipment throughout the district, focusing on playsets for 2-5 and 5-12 year old age groups, with specific use zone numbers to be utilized. The district aims to make parts retention and repairs more consistent across their facilities.

The addendum clarifies two key points: first, that the awarded vendor is not required to perform repairs on playground equipment from manufacturers for which they are not an authorized installer, and second, that while the district is standardizing playground equipment, they anticipate some special requests that will require individual quotes. No additional solicitation will be conducted for these special requests. The document provides contact information for Tara Fueri in Procurement Services for any further questions, and includes a section for bidders to acknowledge receipt of the addendum.

ADDENDUM NO. 1

August 15, 2025

25-0616-B-TF969 - Playground Equipment & Installation

The original ITB documents shall remain in full force and effect, except as modified herein, which shall take precedence over any contrary provisions in the prior documents.

This addendum is being issued to address questions received. Questions contained herein are written exactly as submitted. No changes or edits to the verbiage have been made:

The following are questions and answers regarding the above mentioned solicitation:

1. Question: Regarding the "Repair Services" scope, should the awardee be expected to perform repairs on playground equipment from all manufacturers, even if they are not an authorized installer for that brand?

Answer: No. The awarded vendor has the right to decline the repair if it is outside of their credentials as there are many different types within the District.

2. Question: Could you clarify the process for selecting playground equipment? Will a separate RFP be issued specifically for play equipment and design services?

Answer: Lake County Schools is looking to standardize throughout the District with playsets that accommodate 2-5 year olds and 5-12 year olds with the use zone numbers listed. These will be the playsets used in an effort to make it easier to retain parts and do repairs. There will most likely at some point be special requests that will require a quote, no additional solicitation will be done.

If you should have any questions regarding this addendum, please do not hesitate to contact Tara Fueri at fuerit@lake.k12.fl.us or by phone at 352-253-6765.

Sincerely, Tara Fueri

Tara Fueri Buyer II, Procurement Services
