About this file

This is Addendum #2 for Invitation for Bids 25-030-LH issued by the Macon-Bibb County Government Procurement Department for Deep Patch with Asphalt Resurfacing Projects. The addendum, dated February 17, 2025, provides clarifications on technical specifications including: paving requirements to the back of radius for side roads, acceptance of both post-mounted signs and tripods, equipment parking guidelines within public right-of-way, contractor responsibility for materials testing, and milled surface coverage requirements within one day of milling. Work hours are specified as 8-5 or within daylight hours, with at least one lane required to remain open using flagmen.

The addendum specifies technical requirements including patch width minimum of one lane, maximum patch depth of 4 inches with lifts not exceeding 1.25 inches, and 9.5mm thickness of 1.25 inches. The grass shoulder item covers 2.98 total shoulder miles on both sides of the road and includes only clipping at the pavement edge. While there is a minority participation form included in the solicitation, there are no minimum goal requirements. For manhole adjustments and water valve details, contractors must contact the Macon Water Authority directly. The document confirms thermoplastic rumble strips will be required for all of Goodall Mill Road.
