About this file
The document is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract from the City of Bradenton, Florida, specifically for the Waste Water Treatment Facility (WWTF). The city intends to procure Tetra Denite Filtration Systems and services from De Nora Water Technologies for a contract value of $176,900.00. The sole source procurement is justified because the city's WWTF is currently operating on Denite Filtration Systems, and De Nora is the sole manufacturer and distributor for the State of Florida. The notice was advertised on April 15, 2025, with a response deadline of April 21, 2025 at 2:00 pm, during which any company believing it can provide comparable goods/services must submit detailed information to the Purchasing Department for evaluation.
The proposal from De Nora Water Technologies includes specific equipment and services for upgrading six existing 10' x 50' filters, including three local filter control panels, one 12" backwash water flow control valve, and one 18" backwash water flow meter. The payment schedule is structured with 10% due at order acceptance, 10% at engineering submittals, 70% at delivery to site, and the final 10% at startup (not to exceed 60 days from delivery). The production schedule anticipates 4-6 weeks for submittal approval after purchase order acceptance, with local control panels to be delivered in 14-16 weeks and the control valve and flow meter in 20-24 weeks. De Nora provides field services, including a 3-day on-site operational check and start-up, with additional service days available at $1,562 per day.
