About this file

This document is a Cost Proposal for Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 25-0100 issued by the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) for Refrigeration Trailer Modification Services at the Orange County – Los Alamitos Field Office. The CDFA is seeking bids for comprehensive trailer modifications, which include removing existing aerodynamic trailer skirts, replacing 55-gallon fuel tanks with three 110-gallon fuel tanks (Thermo King Part Number 121022 or equivalent), and replacing existing swing doors with three insulated aluminum-clad roll-up doors (Whiting ColdSAVER or equivalent).

The cost proposal requires bidders to provide detailed pricing for all labor and materials associated with the trailer modifications, including tank relocation, gauge transfers, fuel line and wiring adjustments, and door installation with safety escape latches. The document emphasizes that Exhibit B-1 Rate Sheet must include all associated costs such as labor, supplies, transportation, tools, parts, equipment, permits, licenses, sales tax, and freight charges. Notably, the CDFA warns that failure to indicate dollar amounts for any line item may result in bid rejection, and zero-dollar entries will be interpreted as the bidder agreeing to perform those services at no cost to the state.
