About this file
This document is an addendum to a solicitation from the Town of Paxton, Massachusetts for a FY25-01 - FY25-26 Paving Contract(s). The key changes include: 1) MassDOT prequalification requirements for pavement surfacing, reclamation, and milling work; 2) revisions to water gate valve box handling; and 3) changing the contract term to a 1-year initial period with an optional 1-year renewal. The bid forms have been revised to reflect a single 1-year contract term. The contract will be awarded on an item-by-item basis to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder for each item during the one-year period. The contract will include price adjustments for changes in the base price of liquid asphalt cement.
The bid forms provide unit pricing for the key line items, including bituminous concrete resurfacing, reclamation, and asphalt cold planing. Estimated quantities are provided for each item. The contract(s) will be awarded based on the lowest unit pricing bid for each individual item.
