About this file
This is a Scope of Work for multi-area stormwater drainage repairs at MCB Camp Lejeune and Camp Geiger (Project #25-0090).
The project encompasses three primary work sites with specific repair and replacement requirements. At Site 1, the contractor must demolish and replace a failed yard inlet with a new precast unit, remove and reconnect existing pipe segments as needed with proper joint sealing, and sod disturbed areas with centipede sod. Site 2 requires repair of identified washouts using select fill material in 6-inch compacted lifts at 95% maximum dry density, installation of non-woven geotextile fabric where applicable, and placement of Class B rip rap. Site 3 involves demolition of existing pipe and headwalls, installation of approximately 60 linear feet of new 30-inch Class IV or V reinforced concrete pipe with matching inverts, pipe bedding and backfill per specifications, installation of cast-in-place or precast headwalls at each pipe end, and asphalt patching using 2.5 inches of RS9.5C surface mix over 8 inches of compacted aggregate base course.
The contractor bears responsibility for all utility location and protection, including telecommunications and commercial cabling, with mandatory notification to base telephone 30 days prior to ground-disturbing activities. Additional obligations include field verification of all measurements, coordination with the contracting officer on all construction activities, liability for utility damage, coordination of commercial cabling with service providers, compliance with state and base codes, site debris management, and full responsibility for environmental, health, and safety (EHS) matters in accordance with contractor policies and procedures.
