QUESTION & ANSWERS
1. For the Base Bid, we assume work related to new roofs would include any related asbestos abatement as required for installation of new roofs. Answer: Yes, asbestos abatement is part of the base bid in http://www.albanyga.gov/

P.O. BOX 447 ALBANY, GA 31702 | PHONE: 229.431.3211 | FAX: 229.431.2184 | www.albanyga.gov relation to the reconstruction of the roofs.
2. Related to Item 1, can we assume Alternates 1-3 are for interior demolition and abatement? Answer:
Correct.
3. At the roof replacement areas related to “replace all rotten and deteriorated wood”, can the City provide bidders with an Allowance cost to carry for this work? Obviously, the quantity cannot be determined until demolition occurs. And you could request a Cost/SF unit cost for replacement of wood decking. Answer: A cost per square foot for decking w ith an allowance of 1500 square foot for all three roofs w ill be added to the updated bid form. (see attached)
4. Can you clarify intent for scope of work with Alternates 4-6? Answer: See exterior work shown on sheets A4.1 and A4.2.
5. At 126 Washington Street, we assume the existing drywall/plaster at interior face of exterior walls will remain, except as may be required for removal of PME items. And we assume any removal does NOT need to be patched/repaired? Answer: Yes, removal is only required where removal of PME items is needed. No areas do not need to be patched/ repaired.
6. The Scope of Work included in the Bid Documents indicates Base Bid for each of the 3 addresses. The Bid Form includes (1) line item for Base Bid so we assume it will include all (3) addresses. Answer:
Correct, the base bid line item includes all three addresses.
7. Spec. Sections 028213 and 028303 reference a Report dated March 12, 2019. Is this Report available?
Answer: Report attached w ith email response.
8. The Scope of Work included in the Bid Documents list addresses as 126 North Washington, 132 Pine and 128 Pine, whereas I think 128 should have been 138. It appears 138 is the 2-story structure and 132 is the single-story structure. Technically, it appears we are including 132, 134 & 136 as 132 and then 138.
Answer: The number “128” in this section is a typo and should read “138”.
9. The CHA abatement drawings include Notes 1-3 at exterior elevations, so we assume these existing joints are asbestos related. We ask because the architectural drawings include the same Notes 1-3.
Answer: We are working w ith CHA to clarify, and the forthcoming answer w ill be released in a later addendum.
