About this file
This document provides the salient characteristics for a Trane Tower Tech cooling tower required to replace the existing system at Facility 431 on Patrick Space Force Base. The cooling tower is needed to maintain air conditioning operations for the 45th SW Theater and 45th SW Chapel, as the current system has reached the end of its service life due to a corrosive environment. The replacement cooling tower must be capable of providing 465 GPM of cooling capacity, operate on 208/3 VAC, and be CTI certified with non-corrosive FRP construction and stainless steel hardware. Optional features include a NEMA-3R motor protection panel, manufacturer startup and owner training, and a 6-foot substructure kit. The document is in support of Solicitation FA252124QB051 for the Patrick Space Force Base Cooling Tower replacement, which requires submitting quotes in PDF or Word format with no installation needed.

TRANE TOWER TECH COOLING TOWER REPLACEMENT FOR
FACILITY 431
Abstract Salient Characteristics for Trane Tower Tech Cooling Tower
NEED/ REQUEST FOR COOLING TOWER AT FACILITY 431.
The request for a Tower Tech cooling tower is required to maintain air conditioning operations for the 45th SW Theater and 45th SW Chapel. The cooling tower are both essential part of the chiller system that provides necessary equipment and comfort cooling to the facility. The current system has reached its manufacture end of life usage due to corrosive environment. All equipment and space in the facility must have and maintain a 65°F-70°F +/- 2°F degree condition space as well as a 20-30% relative humidity.
COMMODITY REPLACEMENT
• Cooling Tower: A specialized heat exchanger in which air and water are brought into direct contact with each other in order to reduce the water's temperature. As this occurs, a small volume of water is evaporated, reducing the temperature of the water being circulated through the tower.
