About this file
This is Addendum 1 to Invitation for Bid (IFB) Number 24C018009 issued by the California Highway Patrol Office of Air Operations for King Air Pilot Training Services. The addendum makes three key changes: removes the requirement that courses must be provided in California, extends the bid due date and opening from January 13, 2025 to February 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM and 11:15 AM respectively, and provides clarification through a questions and answers summary.
The training services requested include four specific programs: King Air 200 G1000 Initial Training, King Air 200 G1000 Recurrent Training, King Air 350 PL21 Initial Training, and King Air 350 PL21 Recurrent Training. The pricing structure is specified as per pilot for each course taken, rather than an annual basis. The bid form lists all four training courses with the two types of aircraft, requiring training in King Air 200 with G1000 avionics program and King Air 350 with PL21 avionics program. The addendum notes that failure to include it with the IFB submission may render a bid non-responsive.

SUMMARY OF QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
I see that the requirement of training is to be in the State of California is in the bid again.
Can this be removed again? I’m not aware of any King Air Part 142 provider that is in California.
See Addendum 1, Requirement has been removed.
Is there an extension that can be provided?
See Addendum 1, Time Schedule Change
The SOW is asking for four programs, but the bid form is only two general make/models listed. That is workable from my sales side, but I wanted to make sure you understood that the Avionics requested (Garmin G1000 and Collins ProLine 21) are each different programs. So the form should indicate that or indicate that training can take place in either avionics program.
The SOW is requesting four king air training courses (2 initial and 2 recurrent) in two general make/models of aircraft (King Air 200/King Air 350). The bid form has all four training courses listed with the two types of aircraft. For clarification, initial and recurrent training in a King Air 200 with the G1000 avionics program, and initial and recurrent training in a King Air 350 with the PL21 avionics program.
The SOW is only showing King Air 200 G1000 and King Air 350 PL21. Can we clarify the requested programs.
The training programs requested are: King Air 200 G1000 Initial Training; King Air 200 G1000 Recurrent Training; King Air 350 PL21 Initial Training; King Air 350 PL21 Recurrent Training
Is the cost basis per pilot annually or is this per pilot for each course taken? The SOW makes it sound like this annual but the bid form looks like per course taken.
The cost is per pilot for each course taken.
