Question/Answer Submittal for 246-21-Q-0009

1. Will the Government be providing facilities and equipment for the requested services? No, the government will not be providing facilities and equipment for requested services. (we will receive the eyeglass orders and dispense to patients, but eyeglasses are made by the contractor/optical)

1. Is there an incumbent currently providing services? Yes.

1. If yes, who is the incumbent and current contract value? Visioncare Consultants of Florida. Dollar amount can be requested via FIOA request.

1. When is the Government anticipating a contract award and start date? As soon as possible after evaluation.

1. Is there a weekly/monthly/annual quota that is to be met? No quota, but an estimated of eyeglasses is 2,500 per year.

1. For the pricing worksheet for Lawton Service Unit RFQ 246-21-Q-0009 you request pricing on the worksheet for each year based on 2,500 eyeglasses per year. Do you have a breakdown of the percentage of each type of lens for each year? For example how many of the 2,500 will be single vision poly, single vision plastic, bifocal plastic, bifocal poly, trifocal plastic, and trifocal poly? Also, will you have any student eyeglass orders? We have lower pricing for students and want to capture that dollar amount accurately. We estimate around 2,500 eyeglasses per year. We don’t have a breakdown on the percentage of each type of lens. I would say about half single vision, half bifocal, and ½ poly and ½ plastic. No estimate on trifocal, as this is something new that has been added and we previously did not have that option. We don’t have very many student orders, I would estimate less than 5%.
