About this file
This is a Notice of Intent to Sole Source document issued by the School Board of Seminole County, Florida, dated January 28, 2025, for Monnit Remote Monitoring Sensors. The document outlines the school district's intent to purchase various wireless sensor technologies districtwide, including water detection, voltage detection, temperature/humidity, air quality, motion/occupancy, and open-closed sensors, along with the iMonnit Sensor Management and Remote Monitoring Software and associated gateways. The sole source solicitation is specifically for Monnit Corporation of South Salt Lake City, Utah, with responses due by February 12, 2025, at 12:00 PM, and the sole source designation is valid for one year after School Board approval.
The solicitation allows the school district to purchase these monitoring sensors through a sole source procurement method, which exempts the purchase from standard competitive solicitation requirements under Florida Administrative Code 6A-1.012(12)(d). The sensors will provide a web portal connected to wireless sensors that can display, record, and send email/SMS alerts for out-of-range environmental conditions. The document provides a mechanism for other vendors to challenge the sole source designation by submitting a notice of intent to protest with a specific reason before the response due date, with all communications to be directed to Travis Loyd at the provided contact information.
