About this file

This document is an Addendum to a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Florida Department of Financial Services (Department) for the My Safe Florida Condominium Pilot Program (MSFCP) to select Wind Certification Entities (WCEs) to provide wind certification analysis for Service Region 2. The RFP seeks vendors to inspect and certify condominium buildings under the MSFCP program pursuant to Florida Statute 215.55871. The Addendum modifies the original RFP by providing additional restrictions on the ethical conduct of inspectors and WCE staff, such as prohibiting them from requesting or accepting compensation from inspected condominium associations and restricting the sale of goods or services to those associations. It also clarifies that data obtained during inspections remains the property of the Department and must be treated confidentially.

The RFP was issued for Service Region 2, and the Department will administer the solicitation through the Vendor Information Portal (VIP). Responses must comply with the terms and conditions of the RFP. Any protests related to this opportunity must be filed within the time prescribed in Florida Statutes Chapter 120, or the right to do so will be waived.
