About this file

This is Addendum No. 3, issued March 12, 2025, by the Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) for the Mackinac Island Visitor Center Renovations project located at 7200 Lake Shore Drive, Mackinac Island, Michigan. The addendum modifies the original project manual and specifies product requirements and construction logistics. The accepted toilet accessory product is VERDEdri by World Dryer, model #Q-973A2 in brushed stainless steel. Contractors are directed to refer to Addendum 2 for revised specific Michigan State Historic Park staging requirements and are permitted to utilize a small barge and the state dock located directly behind the Visitor Center for additional staging, with the requirement that containers remain on the barge. The contractor must field verify the extents of crawl space in Family Bath 101B prior to demolition, as the space is partially positioned over a crawl space, and core drilling must be used instead of the trench method originally shown in the project documents.

The state will assume responsibility for removing and disposing off-island of items removed under Alternate 2. The addendum clarifies that Alternate 2 pricing and logistics have been modified to reflect the state's removal responsibilities, and contractors should confirm current staging locations and dock access arrangements prior to bid submission or project mobilization.
