The notice solicits sealed written and electronic bids for thirteen commodity categories: Gravel, Aggregate, Liquid Asphalt, Hotmix, Coldmix, Plastic Culverts, Metal Culverts, Clay Gravel and Sand, Steel Slag, Asphalt Milling, RoadSide Spraying, High Intensity Road Signs, and Metal Flared End Sections. Bids must be submitted to the Leake County Courthouse office no later than 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. The contract term runs from January 5, 2026, through January 4, 2027. Award of bids will occur at the Board's December 15, 2025, meeting. Bid forms and detailed specifications are available through the Leake County Central Purchasing Department by contacting Belinda M. Atkinson or via the online bidding platform at https://bidnowsolutions.com/leake-county-mississippi/.
The Board reserves the right to make purchases from any vendor in accordance with Section 31-7-13, Mississippi Code of 1972, regardless of bids received, provided a lower price can be obtained from another vendor. The Board further reserves the right to reject any and all bids submitted. The advertisement will be published twice, on October 23 and October 30, 2025, in accordance with Mississippi public notice requirements. This term bid arrangement allows the county to establish pricing agreements with vendors for the twelve-month supply period, ensuring competitive procurement of essential road maintenance materials and services.
