About this file
The document is a Bid Schedule for Collier County, Florida, specifically for the Big Corkscrew Island Regional Park (BCIRP) Phase 2A Signalized Intersection project located on Oil Well Road at Big Corkscrew Drive. The project involves constructing a signalized intersection with comprehensive infrastructure improvements, including demolition, erosion control, paving, sidewalk enhancements, storm drainage, water distribution system modifications, and signalization installation. The bid (No. 24-8314) is scheduled for advertisement on October 28, 2024, with sealed bids due by December 12, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. local time. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is planned for November 12, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in Naples, Florida, and prospective bidders must register on the county's procurement portal.
The bid schedule includes detailed line items across six sections, covering everything from mobilization to signalization, with specific quantities for each component. An owner's allowance of $200,000 has been allocated for unforeseen conditions or owner-directed work, which will be dispersed through change orders with documented time and materials support. The project encompasses extensive infrastructure work, including road construction, signage installation, drainage systems, water main replacements, and sophisticated traffic signal systems with components like fiber optic cables, pedestrian signals, and vehicle detection systems. Bidders are required to submit pricing for both the base bid and an alternate for temporary signalization, with strict guidelines on mobilization costs not exceeding 5% of the total project bid.
