About this file

This is Addendum #1 to IFB #24-42017-000 issued by the Department of State Hospitals (DSH) - Napa for a Generator Stack Extension project. The addendum includes updated key action dates with IFB availability beginning December 5, 2024, a bidder's conference on December 12, 2024, questions due by December 16, 2024, bid submission and opening on December 23, 2024 at 3:30 PM, notice of intent to award posted December 30, 2024, and anticipated start date of January 1, 2025. The addendum provides extensive Q&A responses regarding technical specifications, including clarifications that existing baffles should not be removed or painted, only the exterior stack should be painted to match the new extension, and the new extension does not include baffles.

Notably, the contractor is responsible for furnishing and installing all materials including the stack extensions, with Durr Universal Inc. identified as the manufacturer contact for materials and installation. The addendum clarifies that excavated spoils can be stored onsite, no permits are required from the contractor as the construction permit has been issued by the State Fire Marshal, and hot-dipped galvanized is preferred for steel exposed to weather. Attachments include a Bidder's Bond form and required contract documents including insurance certifications, various compliance statements and certifications, and a bidder's conference attendee list showing representatives from mechanical, construction and scaffolding companies who attended the site inspection.
