ADDENDUM # 2

To: ALL PROSPECTIVE FIRMS

Re: INVITATION FOR BIDS: Cemetery Maintenance Bid # 24-031-LH

1. How many acres is Rose Hill Cemetery?

Answer: Rose Hill Cemetery is approximately 41.66 acres.

2. Who has the current contract?

Answer: Paulk Landscaping.

3. Are we responsible for the down trees?

Answer: No. Upon award, the Parks and Beautification would like the vendor to report any down trees.

4. There were vines growing up and around the headstones. Are we responsible for that?

Answer: No. Macon-Bibb County’s Park and Beautification Department expects the contractor to weed eat around the bases of headstones and other structures. The contractors are not meant to handle vines growing up/on structures.

5. Will we have access to the lock gate so that we can come from different locations?

Answer: Because the entry gates to Rose Hill are very narrow and have overhead arches, we request that entry/exit be only at 1006 Jones Street, Macon, GA.

6. Will chemicals be allowed in the roadway for weeds that are in cracks?

Answer: A non-selective herbicide like Round Up is fine to spray crack weeds. However, if there is any overspray and larger turf sections are killed, we would expect the contractor to make the necessary repairs.

7. Will the site be completely serviced before it’s turnover?

Answer: Yes. The current contractor will perform a full cut if the contract is handed over to another vendor.

Please incorporate this change into the Invitation for Bid and acknowledge receipt of this addendum on your bid form.

Sincerely, Laura Hardwick
