About this file
This is a Cost Proposal document for Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 24-0167 issued by the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) for Refrigeration Trailer Modification Services at the Orange County – Los Alamitos Field Office. The solicitation seeks bids for comprehensive trailer modifications including removal of existing aerodynamic trailer skirts, replacement of 55-gallon fuel tanks with three 110-gallon fuel tanks (Thermo King Part Number 121022 or equivalent), relocation of inner tank mounting brackets, fuel tank gauge transfers, and potential fuel line and wiring adjustments. Additionally, the project involves removing existing trailer swing doors, fabricating stainless-steel frameworks, and installing three insulated aluminum-clad roll-up doors (Whiting ColdSAVER or equivalent) with safety escape latches.
The cost proposal requires bidders to include all associated labor, materials, non-consumable supplies, transportation, tools, parts, equipment, permits, licenses, sales tax, fees, and freight charges within their pricing. The document emphasizes that failure to indicate a dollar amount for any line item may result in bid rejection, and a zero-dollar entry will be interpreted as the bidder performing those services at no cost to the state. The pricing structure allows bidders to provide comprehensive costs for each modification aspect, with a total cost to be calculated across the specified service descriptions. The solicitation is structured to ensure transparent and comprehensive pricing for the trailer modification project.
