About this file
This is a Solicitation Addendum No. 1 issued by the Beaverton School District in Oregon for Invitation to Bid (ITB) 24-0020 concerning an office renovation project at Elmonica Elementary School. The addendum modifies the original ITB document and must be acknowledged by bidders as a condition of bid acceptance. The project involves interior renovations to the school's administration office area with an estimated value of $365,338.00, including general conditions, overhead, and profit. The closing date for bid submission is January 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM Pacific Time, with electronic bids to be submitted to contracts@beaverton.k12.or.us rather than through Oregon Buys. The addendum addresses numerous clarifications regarding project scope, including confirmation that certain items (paper towel dispensers, sanitary napkin receptacles, and seat cover dispensers) are Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI); deletion of specifications for Division 12 50 00 Furniture, Division 10 44 00 Fire Protection Specialties, and Section 23 08 00 HVAC Commissioning as these are not required for the project; and relocation of references from Oak Hills Elementary School to Elmonica Elementary School throughout the documentation.
The addendum includes specific modifications to drawings and specifications, including revised window shade locations and specifications on plan sheets A-601 and related sketches, adjustments to reception desk counter lengths and wall configurations on sheets A-231 and A-232, and clarifications regarding mailbox cabinet door removal. Accepted substitution requests include Springs Window Fashions roller shades and lighting fixtures from manufacturers including Metalux, Halo, Neo-Ray, and Sure-Lites, all approved with comments from the electrical engineer. The document provides detailed photometric data and product specifications for the accepted lighting manufacturers, confirming their compliance with design standards. No specific pricing adjustments, set-asides for disadvantaged enterprises, or incumbent contractor information are detailed in this addendum; however, the documentation emphasizes that bidders must be fully responsive to all addendum requirements and include acknowledgment of receipt on the Bidder Certification form to avoid bid rejection.
