About this file

This is an Advertisement for Bids issued by the Board of Supervisors of Amite County, Mississippi, for the purchase of culvert pipes and related materials. The County seeks sealed bids for three categories of products: American-made metal culvert pipe in all sizes, gauges, and coatings; metal culvert pipe connector bands in all sizes; and plastic or polyethylene culverts in all sizes with plastic bands. The bid opening is scheduled for December 1, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at the Courthouse in Liberty, Mississippi. The contract term runs from January 2026 through December 31, 2026, commencing upon award by the Board of Supervisors or January 2026, whichever is later. No site visits, bidders' conferences, or specific item quantities are mentioned in the notice.

All bids must provide per-foot costs for each category, with pricing requirements that orders of one pipe or more shall be shipped F.O.B. point of delivery with freight paid by the vendor. Prices must be firm with no escalation clauses permitted; any bid including an escalation clause will not be considered. The County grants preference to resident contractors domiciled in Mississippi over non-resident bidders, applying reciprocal treatment consistent with the non-resident bidder's state laws regarding preference to local contractors. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and will not consider facsimile transmissions. In the event of Force Majeure Events preventing bid opening on the advertised date, bids will be opened on the next business day the courthouse reopens at the previously advertised time, with vendors deemed to have accepted these provisions upon submission.
