Addendum 3
Bid Number and Name: 23-739 Commercial Dishwashers and Installation
Please note the following amendment(s) to the ITB indicated above. This addendum answers questions received prior to the question deadline. This addendum must be signed and included with your proposal when submitted.
Questions are formatted in Italic style font with all answers in Bold.
1. If the electrical circuit is inadequate, do we need to include the upgraded circuit in our bid, or will that be handled as a change order?
If a vendor has determined, through their site inspections and/or review of the district electrician’s report, that a circuit requires an upgrade, the costs related to that work needs to be included in the bid.
2. What is the rinse temperature of the water you require?
The following except from the Oregon Health Authority, Public Health Division, Food Sanitation Rules, February 1, 2020, is provided in response to the above question.
4-501.112 Mechanical Warewashing Equipment, Hot Water Sanitization Temperatures.
(A) Except as specified in ¶ (B) of this section, in a mechanical operation, the temperature of the fresh hot water sanitizing rinse as it enters the manifold may not be more than 90°C (194°F), or less than:
(1) For a stationary rack, single temperature machine, 74°C (165°F); or
(2) For all other machines, 82°C (180°F).
(B) The maximum temperature specified under ¶ (A) of this section, does not apply to the high pressure and temperature systems with wand-type, hand-held, spraying devices used for the in-place cleaning and sanitizing of equipment such as meat saws.
Hot water supply is delivered from water heaters set to 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
