About this file

This document is an Addendum to a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by the State Department of Transportation for a project to provide professional traffic engineering and design services. The RFP is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide comprehensive engineering and design services for traffic signal systems, signing and pavement marking upgrades, and various transportation improvement projects across the state. The services will be provided on an as-needed task order basis over a 5-year contract term with two 1-year renewal options.

The Addendum modifies the original RFP by extending the proposal due date, clarifying the scope of work, and providing additional details on the site visit and pre-proposal conference. Firms must submit proposals by the revised due date of March 1, 2023. A mandatory pre-proposal conference will be held on February 10, 2023, and attendance will be limited to one representative per firm. The contract will be awarded to multiple firms on a regional basis, with a minimum of 3 firms selected per region. Pricing will be based on a mix of fixed-fee and hourly rate schedules, with specific rates to be negotiated during contract award. DBE and SDVOB participation goals have been established for this contract.

approximately 1,600 LF of trenching. Given the December 11 bid due date, the holidays, contract award/review/signing, bid submittals, Contractor prepares and submitted Shop Drawings {section 33 51 10), material testing, material approvals, material lead time {after approvals), etc. it will be unlikely that the time for all of this will allow for a January 15th deadline. Can the site apply for an 'extension' on the compliance of the Cell 3A work???
