Notice to All Prospective Bidders

ADDENDUM #2 RELEASED (August 31, 2021)

The Town would like to make the following changes to the Invitation for Bids for Project

#22DPW072C:

1. Under Section 1.30, Quality Requirements:

Remove “Bidder must furnish proof of having successfully installed at least five (5) complete BSS 100 polyurethane running track surface systems utilizing waterborne aliphatic polyurethane coating within fifty (50) miles of the project location” and replace with “Bidder must furnish proof of having successfully installed at least five (5) complete BSS 100 polyurethane running track surface systems utilizing waterborne aliphatic polyurethane coating in the New England area”.

Remove “Bidder must provide the address of a base of operations located within one hundred (100) miles of the project location, or evidence of a minimum of twenty (20) tracks in which maintenance has been performed within fifty (50) miles of project site within the last five (5) years” and replace with “Bidder must be able to provide onsite maintenance during the warranty period within the same day of a notice”.

2. Under Section 2.06, Reference Standards and Quality Assurance:

Remove “the contractor must have a base of operations located within one hundred (100) miles of the project location, or evidence of a minimum of twenty (20) tracks in which maintenance has been performed within fifty

(50) miles of the project site within the last five (5) years” and replace with

“Bidder must be able to provide onsite maintenance during the warranty period within the same day of a notice”.

3. Two (2) Add Alternates have been added to this IFB, both for types of field event pit covers:

Add Alternate 1 is for pit covers composed of vinyl mesh and a weighted perimeter, matching in color to the track surface. The covers will be Aer-Flo

Landing Zone Pit Covers or approved equivalent. Each of the four (4)

281” x 123” inch pit areas require a pit cover.

Add Alternate 2 is for pit covers composed of aluminum panels with recessed tops for onsite application of synthetic surface to match the track.

Each of the four (4) 281” x 123” inch pit areas require a set of pit cover panels. Currently, each pit area is covered by a set of nine (9) panels.

4. All bidders must submit their bids using the revised Bid Sheet (Bid Form A) attached to this Addendum to be considered as a qualifying bid.

Adjustments were made to include Add Alternates 1 and 2 and to remove the space for the local base of operations, which has been replaced by a requirement for onsite maintenance response during the warranty period.

The above responses were prepared by or in consultation with:

Tyler Gabrielski, Administrative Analyst

Cecilia Simchak, Director of Finance and Administration for Public Services

Edward Olsen, Superintendent of Parks and Forestry
