Question 1:
I was looking over the plans and specifications for the Boysen Peak part of the project and I noticed that there are no lighting fixture specifications for the Communications Building. The drawings state that you need to look to the specifications for more details, but the specifications point back to the drawings with no other information. Can you give a little more information for these fixtures?
Answer 1:
From the Specification:
“9. INTERIOR LUMINAIRES, LAMPS AND BALLASTS: Reference Standard Section 26 51 13 INTERIOR LUMINAIRES, LAMPS AND BALLASTS and the Project Drawings for further information.”
Refer to the Construction Standard on page 11‐103 (follow the link below, also on page 1‐1 of the Specification).
https://www.wapa.gov/DoingBusiness/SellingToWestern/Pages/what-western-buys.aspx
This provides the requirements for the fixtures but note that the drawings call for class 1 fixtures in the Battery Room. Those must be explosion-proof and also meet those requirements.
Edit 1:
This solicitation is being amended and the answer to this question is now located on Project Drawing BPK 7007 Rev A. The manufacturer and model number for preferred fixtures are listed in the notes on the right side of the drawing. The fixtures are listed as follows:
COMM ROOM: MANUFACTURER: LITHONIA MODEL NO.: CPX-2X4 5000LM-80CRI-50K-
SWL-MIN10-ZT-MVOLT (OR APPROVED SUBSTITUTE)
BATTERY ROOM: MANUFACTURER: SUPER BRIGHT LEDS MODEL NO.: EPLL2-50K75-4
(OR APPROVED SUBSTITUTE)
