About this file
This document contains questions and answers from a site visit regarding Solicitation Number 89503222BWA000051_AMD0001 from the Department of Energy Western Area Power Administration for the Lovell Control Building and Breaker Replacement project. The questions and answers provide clarification on specifications for removing gas and testing oil from circuit breakers; requirements for grounding, busing, and inner ducting of fiber; and confirm drawings and specifications will be included in an amendment for the building HVAC system. Pricing and response timing are not discussed. Contractors are responsible for testing circuit breakers prior to removal and for completely removing gas from breakers. Copper-clad ground wire is required for exposed applications and welded bus may be considered equal to swage and press fittings per the specifications. Gravel and subsurface specifications are referenced, and herbicide application is not necessary for disturbed ground surfaces.
