About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for Bid No. 22-527 issued by the DeKalb County School District Purchasing Department in Georgia for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Supplies. The solicitation encompasses five groups of products including hand sanitizers (alcohol-based and alcohol-free formulations in various sizes), disinfectant wipes, disinfectant spray, nitrile gloves in multiple sizes, no-touch infrared thermometers, and batteries (AA, AAA, and C). Estimated quantities include 100 cases each for sanitizers, wipes, disinfectant spray, and gloves across all sizes, and 100 packs each for batteries and thermometers. Sealed bid responses were required by 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, with the virtual public bid opening scheduled for 3:00 PM EST on the same date. Bidders were not required to submit bids on all items or all groups; the district stated it would accept responses for selected items only.

The district clarified that unit pricing should be quoted per case or per pack, with bidders permitted to specify actual packaging quantities that may differ from standard configurations. All orders were expected to be delivered complete with no backorders accepted. Price increases could be requested in writing prior to product delivery, but required 30 days' advance notice and manufacturer documentation. Awards may be made to multiple vendors on an item-by-item basis based on lowest, most responsive, and responsible bids in accordance with specifications. The district maintained sole authority to accept or deny any deviations from stated terms and conditions.
