About this file
This document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) for guardrail fasteners issued by the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority (ISTHA). ISTHA is seeking a vendor to furnish and deliver guardrail fasteners for use throughout the Tollway system. The required fasteners must meet specific material and packaging specifications. The estimated quantities are based on a 5-year contract period, but ISTHA does not guarantee any minimum order quantities. The RFQ includes details on invoicing, backorders, return of goods, and delivery requirements. The initial contract term is 2 years, with no renewal options.
Regarding pricing, vendors must submit unit prices that include shipping costs. Quoted prices must remain valid for 180 days, and no price increases will be accepted. The award will be made to the responsive and responsible bidder submitting the lowest total bid price. There are no set-asides mentioned, and the RFQ does not indicate if there is an incumbent vendor. Funding for this contract is contingent on availability of appropriated funds.
