About this file

This document is an Addendum to an Invitation for Bids (IFB) issued by the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) for Contract No. 21LPCKQ, Management of Landscape Assets in Cecil, Kent, and Queen Anne's Counties (District 2). The IFB requests services for the control and removal of weeds, management of litter and debris, and application of pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicides within landscape areas in the three designated counties. The bid opening is scheduled for January 22, 2021, and the first inspection is anticipated to begin on or around March 25, 2021. The contract includes monthly inspections and additional work items that may be directed by the Engineer.

The Addendum provides clarification on the use of herbicides as an acceptable weed control method, which will be incidental to the Landscape Planting Management item. It also amends the inspection schedule to begin in 2021 instead of 2020. The Addendum outlines the required bid submission documents, which include the Completed Bid Form, Bidder Information Sheet, and acknowledgment of all addenda. Pricing will be based on a contract unit price per each monthly inspection for the Management of Landscape Areas, as well as additional work items priced per square yard for pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicide application when directed.
