About this file
This document is a set of specifications for a rodent mitigation project at the Federal Aviation Administration's La Junta (LHX) Remote Communications Air/Ground (RCAG) facility in Colorado. The key details are:
The project scope includes installation of a new stucco system, removal and replacement of the shelter door, rodent mitigation, and interior rodent waste cleaning. The facility operates 24/7, so any necessary outages must be scheduled at least 30 days in advance. All work must comply with OSHA safety requirements and be coordinated with the FAA to avoid disrupting operations. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing all temporary services, managing construction debris and garbage, and restoring the site grounds after work is complete.
The related federal contract opportunity is a presolicitation announcement seeking statements of interest from vendors capable of performing the refurbishments and rodent mitigation work detailed in the specifications. Interested vendors are requested to provide information on their capability, relevant past projects, and any questions or suggestions on the draft requirements. The FAA will use the responses to potentially establish a limited competition pool and determine if any small business set-asides would be appropriate. Responses are due by 3:00pm CST on July 12, 2024.
