About this file
This document is a Notice of Intent from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) to award a sole source contract to the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies. The contract will build upon national research efforts to understand rates of participation in fishing, hunting, and wildlife viewing activities among U.S. residents, as well as the economic impact of those recreational activities. The project will expand the national research to provide Washington-specific information to help WDFW assess the significance and economic impact of these recreation opportunities in the state. The performance period for this contract is 09/21/2021 to 10/31/2023, with a possible one-year extension. The estimated contract value is not to exceed $87,500.
WDFW is a member of the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies, which has been contracted by the U.S. Department of Interior Fish and Wildlife Service to conduct the national survey. By partnering on this existing national data research effort, WDFW will obtain cost-effective access to participation and economic information that it would not be able to access on its own. Offerors are required to submit capability statements detailing their ability to meet the state's requirements by 12:00 Noon on September 14, 2021.
