About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for federal solicitation 205AE9-26-Q-00059, addressing inquiries from potential bidders regarding a data drop installation project.

The requirement is a 100% small business set-aside for installing 300 data drops on a second floor measuring 40,599 square feet. This is a new award following the cancellation of a previous solicitation (205AE9-26-Q-00010) due to programmatic changes. The project involves brand-name or equal hardware with specifications provided on pages 4-5 of the solicitation, including CAT6A cable (94 boxes), 600 jacks, 8 × 48-port patch panels (384 ports total), and six metered 20A APC rack power distribution units. All horizontal cabling will originate from a single Main Distribution Frame (MDF) with cable runs not exceeding 230 feet; existing cable trays are available for use and do not require replacement. The scope includes rack refresh activities encompassing installation of new components and removal/disposal of old or unnecessary components, with no expansion anticipated. The contractor may perform cutovers after standard hours or on weekends as needed. No pre-bid site visits or walkthroughs will be permitted due to turnaround time and reduced staffing constraints. The additional 216 jacks beyond the 384 patch panel ports are specified as spare parts for future use.
